Hubspot

This page will walk you through our Hubspot integration and how to best use it to empower your sales, marketing and success teams.

Understanding Sonar Hubspot integration

Sonar Hubspot integration makes Sonar events available directly in Hubspot through:

  • Company timeline events

  • Company tasks

When you setup a Sonar alert and setup Hubspot as the destination, Sonar will automatically create a timeline event associated to the company that triggered the event on Hubspot. You can also chose to create a company task in addition to the timeline event.

If the company triggering a Sonar event doesn't already exist in your Hubspot account, a new company will automatically be created and the event and task will be attached to it.

Company timeline event

A new event will be created for the company that triggered the event:

If you can't see events being added to Hubspot, make sure you click on "Filter activity" and check "Sonar" under the "Integrations" section:

Company task

Just like timeline event, you can chose to create a task when an alert is triggered. Task names are standard and should be similar to activity timeline events. For example:

  • Technology added: Intercom.

  • Technology removed: Mixpanel.

  • Job added: Marketing manager.

  • Job_removed: Product Manager.

Tasks created will be added with a due date equal to J+7. You can see tasks:

  • directly on the company profile:

  • On the tasks list when navigating to the Sales menu then to "Tasks":

If you can't see tasks, make sure you remove the Owner filter:
